2012 Chassagne Montrachet Grandes Ruchottes

Perfect bottles of Moreau's 2012 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Grandes Ruchottes continue to merit a score in the mid-90s, as the wine is potentially superb, but the latest example from my case exhibited early signs of premature oxidation, with a deeper-than-usual color, scalped aromas and a softening palate. If only it had been bottled under a technical closure.
