1989 Barolo

This mammoth, old style, wonderfully pure, super-concentrated, behemoth of wine exhibits a saturated color, a huge, classic Barolo nose of melted road tar, roses, and black fruits, and a dense, concentrated, chewy, full-bodied palate with superb extraction of fruit. Well-balanced for its size, its softness is a result of the great ripeness achieved in the 1989 vintage. Although it can be drunk early, it is a 25 year wine.
