Note di degustazione
From young vines. 25 days of maceration on the skins and the MLF is spontaneous. Very dark ruby with orange tinges. Quite serious nose of dark fruit and herbs, but not entirely open yet. Richly concentrated palate with hints of oak, but very flattering. Surprisingly tannic for this modernist style, pretty serious and a little full on. This would gain from another year in bottle. (WS)

Layers of animal, fresh wild strawberry with skin of dry cinnamon and lime on nose. Savory, sweet and grilled peach with layer of nutty, wood character. Drink now or better in 2016.
Layered and succulent throughout, the 2012 Rosso di Montalcino wraps around the palate with lovely depth and radiance. Dark red berries, flowers, sweet spices flow through to the generous, inviting finish. There is plenty of vintage 2012 richness and fleshiness in the glass, but the floral notes add an attractive upper register that balances things out nicely.
