Maison Louis Jadot purchases must from three different growers to fashion its Batard-Montrachet. The poached pear-scented 1998 reveals a medium-bodied, broad, silky-textured character. White fruits, minerals, and anise can be discerned throughout its long, lemon-infused character. Anticipated maturity: 2003-2010+. Importer: Kobrand, Inc., New York, NY; (212) 490-9300.

Complex, subtle aromas of hay, honey, smoke and apple. Bright mineral and peach flavors offer lovely intensity and delineation. Still rather backward but displays real Puligny subtlety. Finishes brisk and persistent.
Informazioni sul produttore

Louis Jadot is arguably the most consistent négociant house in Burgundy. It has managed to straddle both the entry-level and fine wine market, while retaining respect in both.
