2000 Batard Montrachet

Aromas of peach syrup, smoke and nutmeg. A major step up in thickness and power over the premier crus; chewy flavors of peach, smoke and spicy oak are nicely framed by strong acidity that hasn't yet completely harmonized with the wine. Finishes a bit brutal, with the oak drying the fruit.
