Punteggio 91/100 · Da bere 2020-2028, Neal Martin, Jun 2020

The 2010 Puligny-Montrachet Village from Jean-Jacques Carillon displays an impressive bouquet for a Village Cru: wonderful definition, suggestions of the sea, lime blossom and red apples. The palate is taut and fresh with fine acidity, and really saline and expressive toward the finish, which displays the weight of a Premier Cru. Superb. Tasted at Sarah Marsh’s 2010 white burgundy tasting in London.

Not quite as much precision nor impact on the nose as some. But very good for a village wine with real lime-fruit persistence. Very good balance. (JR)

The 2010 Puligny-Montrachet Village delivers plenty of mineral-driven, citric fruit on the well-defined nose: edgy and animated, nudging premier cru level, in fact. The palate does not disappoint after those aromatics. This is a beautifully balanced Puligny-Montrachet with fresh lime zest and citrus fruit leading to a taut and linear, fume finish. Just the ticket! Drink now-2020. Importer: Rosenthal Wine Merchant, Pine Plains, NY; tel. (800) 910-1990

Good pale yellow. Perfumed aromas of white peach and flowers. At once supple and brisk, with lovely detail to the peach and lemon flavors. Nothing overripe about this one. Finishes clean and persistent. Jacques Carillon suggests waiting two or three years before pulling the cork. The acidity here is a relatively high 4.7 grams per liter.
