Note di degustazione
Medium red. Subtly complex aromas of cherry, earth and smoke, lifted by a violet topnote. Sweet, pliant and soil-inflected; rich, dense and chewy. This shows terrific grip and energy, and shows little sign of the bottling, which took place in April. Very long, building finish features a note of red licorice and a repeating floral element.

Medium red. Black fruits and smoke on the nose; almost more Cote de Nuits in aromatics than Beaune. Highly aromatic, very pure flavors of blackberry and minerals, with an herbal complexity. Powerful, dense and thick, but with terrific verve. Very long, mouthcoating finish gets the salivary glands working. Classic Pommard.
Lovely nose. Deep and subtle. Sweet, juicy and slightly medicinal on the palate. Real race and life. Real lift-off, though no bargain. (JR)
