Punteggio 89-91/100 · Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Dec 2013

There are just two barriques of the 2012 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Morgeots. The nose is well-defined with precise citrus, orange blossom and white peach scents. The palate is ripe and rounded on the entry with light honeyed tones and a sweet apricot and peach tinged finish that is very graceful and pure. Very fine. Caroline Parent mentioned that when she tours the United States, she carries a family tree so that customers do not get too entangled in the interconnected strands of the Gros and Parent branches. This is basically a negociant set-up based in Anne-Francoise’s winery in Beaune. In the past, you would have found bottled labelled “Domaine A.F. Gros et Francois Parent”, but now they are separate labels, the former reserved for domaine wines (see separate entry). Importer: Vance Erickson Fine Wine Brokers, 21913 Paseo del Refugio, Santa Barbera, CA 93105 and Great Signature Wines, 3548 D Ashford Dunwoody Rd., Atlanta GA 30319.
