Note di degustazione
The Chassagne-Montrachet Les Champs-Gains displays loads of stones and white flowers. On the palate, this concentrated, highly extracted, ample, and medium-to-full-bodied wine delivers waves of liquid minerals and traces of oak nuances that linger in its admirable finish. It will be at its best between 2000 and 2006. Importer: Seagram Chateau & Estate Wines Company, New York, NY; tel (212) 572-7725.

White flowers and dried fruits on the expressive nose. Tighter and higher in acid than the Vergers or is it simply less fat? Not revealing much flesh and sweetness today, and showing some acidity on the finish. At an awkward stage, like so many '96s, and in need of bottle aging. May ultimately merit a 90-point score.
