Punteggio 16.5/20 · Da bere 2010-2022, Jancis Robinson MW, Dec 2006

Very pale. Warm, rich nose. Rather opulent and seductive already on the nose. Creamy texture and masses of acidity so I suppose this is the 2001? I think this wine will need lots and lots of time to unfurl but there is no shortage of material. Intense but very youthful. A certain green leafy quality. Quite neat and classic Chevalier build. Fades just slightly on the finish. Just a bit pinched. Lighter than many Grand Cru white burgundies. (JR)

Punteggio 88-90/100 · Da bere 2005-2010, Pierre Rovani, Jun 2003

Zesty lemons and minerals are found in the aromas and flavors of the light to medium-bodied 2001 Chevalier-Montrachet La Cabotte. A wine of outstanding depth and purity, its ultimate quality will be determined by whether it fleshes out in the final weeks of its elevage. Its crystalline purity and ethereal style are impressive, but a wine of this price should have more volume. Projected maturity: 2005-2010. Importer: Clicquot, Inc., New York, NY; tel. (212) 888-7575
