Good ruby-red. Blackberry and chocolate on the nose and palate. Sweet, lush and pure, combining a rather gentle texture and very good lift. Suave, fine-grained Volnay with ripe tannins and lovely lingering purple fruits.

The vineyard immediately in front of this handsome house. Blackish crimson. Gently aromatic with the scent of tea leaves. Good tension. Interesting dark fruit flavours. Sweet and dense but a bit earthbound. (JR)
