Note di degustazione
The 2011 Montrachet Grand Cru corresponds to the bottle tasted four years earlier. Again, it's pretty reticent at first, toying with you and opening with linden and marine scents, though not furnishing the drinker with the full complement of aromas a Montrachet can deliver. The palate is well-balanced, a little waxy in texture and poised with an unexpected quasi-Sémillon finish. A quirky Montrachet... But that's not written pejoratively.

Complex, assertive nose is definitely worthy of the appellation. This wine has weight and richness and enough acidity to beguile drinkers already without any disappointment. The grand cru for current drinking (if you can afford it)? Just the job. Very long. (JR)
