The generic 1997 Barolo is a delicious, forward, approachable effort to consume over the next 7-8 years. Revealing amber and pink at the edge of its color, it is an expansive, sweet, sexy example with overripe cherry, cedar wood, licorice, smoke, and tar characteristics.
