Note di degustazione
The 1997 Barolo exhibits a plum/garnet color with a pink rim. Scents of black tea, cherry liqueur, and sandalwood are followed by an opulent, lush, fleshy wine with copious spice, glycerin, and alcohol as well as low acidity. It is a voluptuous, disarming Barolo to enjoy over the next 8-9 years. A Marc de Grazia Selection, various American importers, including Michael Skurnik, Syosset, NY; tel. (516) 677-9300, Vin Divino, Chicago, IL; tel. (773) 334-6700, and Estate Wines, Ltd., San Rafael, CA; tel. (415) 492-9411

Medium red. Intensely spicy, rather Burgundian red fruit aromas. Spicy, clean and full in the mouth; not yet complex, but rich, ripe and generous of texture. Finishes firmly tannic, but the tannins are broad and smooth.
