Deep, bright aromas of pear, spring flowers and liquid stone. Penetrating and pure, with pear, citrus and stony flavors nicely framed by firm acidity. Still tight in the middle, but already conveys the precision of the vintage at its best. A real mouthful of wet stones on the very long finish.

Delicate. Introvert. Very tense without great intensity. Fine and fine-boned, but I suspect those who pay these prices may want some more obvious reward. Satin texture. (JR)
(almost finished with its malolactic fermentation) Musky, deeply pitched aromas of dusty stone, toast, spices and butter. Big, rich and leesy, with notes of liquid stone and toast. A wonderfully silky wine with impressive volume. Very long on the aftertaste, with a hint of licorice.
As it almost always is, this is notably more elegant aromatically with its airy white flower, spice and limestone aromas that precede textured, pure and defined flavors that possess an utterly different texture and mouth feel, all wrapped in a brilliantly focused and mouth coating finish.
