Punteggio 17.5/20 · Da bere 2007-2015, Jancis Robinson MW, Jul 2008

The largest owner of Chevalier with 4.991 acres of this ‘regular’ bottling plus another 1.285 in La Cabotte (see below). In 2000 there were about 9,800 bottles of this and almost 3,000 of La Cabotte . Light, delicate racy nose. Real vibrancy and life on the palate. Not a blockbuster but definitely Chevalier. (JR)

Punteggio 17/20 · Da bere 2008-2018, Jancis Robinson MW, Dec 2006

Very pale straw. A slightly toasty note on the nose – very aromatic. Lifted nose with real appeal and nerve. Lots of acidity and nerve. Extremely youthful and tight with a fair amount of weight. Classic youthful top quality white burgundy. A little bit of heat on the finish. Good length. The most forward, very finely etched – rather like Caillerets in fact. Much more expressive than the same wine poured straight from bottle the night before. (JR)

Punteggio 18/20 · Da bere 2006-2014, Jancis Robinson MW, Nov 2002

Low key but sleek and sophisticated. Sweet, full and lively and already rather charming. This wine dances! Very slightly lightweight compared to some others and more evolved but very creditable. Hooray for the refurbishment of BP&F. (JR)

Punteggio 17.5/20 · Da bere 2004-2014, Jancis Robinson MW, Feb 2002

A surprisingly open nose which is almost opulent. Strangely, it is already almost drinkable. Creamy hazelnuts and sherbet – restaurants should buy this! Weight but not great complexity. Patience will be rewarding but it may not be as essential as with many other Grand Cru white burgundies. (JR)
