Bright, deep red. Perfumed aromas of roasted red berries, cherry and mocha, with an almost exotic high-toned character. Plush, sweet and high-toned in the mouth but not sloppy or roasted. In fact, a bit clenched and brooding today, with plenty of acidity apparent. This has the structure and stuffing, not to mention the tannic clout, to age gracefully, but it's in a rather awkward stage today.

Concentrated ruby with orange rim. Stalky and sweet. Very subdued and tight but showing richness on the finish. Quite dry! (WS)
