Note di degustazione
Bright, pale, green-tinged yellow. Cool, subdued aromas of lime, pear and crushed rock; I would not have guessed 2011. Dense, vibrant and tightly coiled, with lovely purity to the tactile, almost painfully chalky crushed stone flavor. There's a lovely lurking sweetness here, but the finish is all citrus high notes now. Interestingly, winemaker Barnier describe this wine's 3.8 grams per liter of acidity as "high for 2011," noting that a number of the preceding samples are in the 3.4 to 3.5 range.

Reduction presently dominates the nose and renders impossible to assess. There is good mid-palate density to the mineral-inflected, intense and extract-rich medium weight flavors that display a citrus-infused finish. This is utterly delicious and quite complex though if there is a nit it's that this is not quite as energetic as the best of these 1ers. Tasted: Jun 11, 2013. Drink: 2017+

Louis Jadot is arguably the most consistent négociant house in Burgundy. It has managed to straddle both the entry-level and fine wine market, while retaining respect in both.
