Azelia' 1996 Barolo Bricco Fiasco has aged nicely. Time in bottle has softened the contours, which makes the 1996 an excellent choice for drinking now and over a handful of years. The flavors are quite dark and bold, but the wine's structure is very much on the medium-bodied side of things. There does not appear to be too much upside from further cellaring at this stage, although the 1996 may hold on for some time. The 1996 is not a huge wine, but it is very beautiful and very nicely balanced.
