2009 Barolo Falletto

The 2009 Barolo Falletto is rich, broad and creamy on the palate. It shows good depth. Quite surprisingly the 2009 Falletto is a bigger and fresher wine than the Rocche del Falletto. Sweet spices, worn in leather, tobacco and dried cherries all wrap around the generous, resonant finish. Overall, the 2009 Falletto is a solid effort for the year, but it is built for near and medium term enjoyment. (AG)
