Note di degustazione
The barest trace of wood remains on the nose to frame the elegant, pure and airy white flower, pear, spice and green apple aromas that are now displaying fully mature nuances before merging seamlessly into intense, powerful, concentrated and still wonderfully intense large-scaled flavors that are seductively textured and stain the palate with dry extract. This is quite masculine and the intensity does a slow but inexorable build from the mid-palate to an explosive finish. For my taste this has arrived at its peak though it should be capable of holding here for at least another decade, perhaps longer. Tasted several times with consistent notes.

Very pale colour and some almond flavours. Big and bold with a beautiful silky texture. Confident and thoroughly swallowable even now. Quite evolved already but there is still lots there. Savoury finish with notes of coffee. (JR)
The spice-scented 2000 Montrachet is a plump, toasted pear, nut, and mineral-flavored wine. Satin-textured and juicy, this medium-bodied offering has outstanding concentration, grip, and depth. Projected maturity: 2004-2012. Importer: Clicquot, Inc., New York, NY; tel. (212) 888-7575
