Rich, fat, concentrated and seductive, with layers of fruit complicated by butterscotch, stone, citrus oil and fresh lemons, this is probably close to peak at this point.

This wine positively smells golden. Its creamy, satiny texture is not unlike the Vincent Girardin example. It's much simpler than the Ramonet and Drouhin wines on the nose but on the palate it has real texture and interest. One to watch, or at least keep. (JR)
Loads of spices, flowers, smoke, and toast can be found in the deep aromatics of the 1999 Montrachet. Medium-bodied and possessing outstanding concentration, definition, and depth of fruit, this citrus, lemon-lime, mineral, quartz, gravel, and earth-flavored wine has loads of power to its personality.
