Punteggio 86/100 · Da bere 2021-2024, Neal Martin, Aug 2021
The 1983 Montrachet Grand Cru from Louis Latour has a simple nose, but after 36 years it retains respectable freshness. The palate is balanced and quite rich, to the cost of tension, especially on the finish. A perfectly serviceable Montrachet, albeit one a few years past its peak.

Louis Latour
The Latour family has been growing vines in Burgundy since at least 1731. Their négociant business – today one of the region’s biggest names – was founded in 1797. Still family-owned today, the company owns 48 hectares of vines, 27 of which are Grand Cru, as well as its own cooperage.
