Complex, meaty, spicy nose, different to the others in the flight. Even if not quite as rich and complete as the best of the younger vintages, this wine demonstrates the harmony to which they can all aspire. Acid is now integrated, structure and power are aligned. Probably à point , but pretty marvellous. (AH)

Golden, heady, glossy somehow with real grand cru weight. Round, smooth and a real treat. No suggestion of any shortcomings even in this vintage, (JR)
Rich, dense, thick and spicy with a strong scent of ground almonds. Big and bold. Perhaps just a little heavy but there is lots of room for development. And the wine was clean and in good condition. (JR)
Greenish straw. Mid weight and correct without being exciting. Weight but not the excitement. Long and rich. But solid and go for it! Great balance. Just a little stolid. But sweet with liquid green notes. It may still reach greater heights and develop more interest. (JR)
