Note di degustazione
Gorgeously detailed fruit is complemented by intense citrus all framed by pain grillé and mineral notes followed by lively, heavy weight flavors of impressive distinction and exciting duration. Despite the forwardness of the nose, there is plenty of underlying material plus ripe acidity all in a tightly wrapped package. Classy, long and pure and this does perhaps the best job of buffering and integrating the full-on oak treatment.

The spice-scented 2000 Montrachet is a juicy, medium-bodied wine. It displays a beautifully dense core of pears, apples, lemons, and minerals. While it does not have the same level of concentration and ripeness as the Chevalier, the Montrachet is fresh, deep, and gorgeously delineated. Drink it over the next 12 years.
