2006 Le Montrachet

This was a great treat and was the first time many of the Purple Paulée attendees had tasted a Montrachet. Pale, sweet and reasonably advanced. Quite rich yet with much more restraint than many Montrachets. Concentrated and pure for the first half hour but, if I were really picking nits, I'd say it slightly waned rather than waxed in the glass. A lovely wine though. Big and round. (JR)
