Note di degustazione
Good pale color. Captivating aromas of stone fruits, lemon, iodine and charred oak. Very full on entry, then ripe and glyceral in the middle, conveying an impression of strong dry extract. But this is not especially primary or minerally for Montrachet and verges on heavy.

A liquid mineral-scented wine, the 2003 Montrachet (white) is thick, rich, and fleshy. Medium-bodied, satin-textured, and filled with sap-laced minerals, this toasty effort is packed with spices as well as pears that linger in its persistent finish. Projected maturity: now-2015. Reduced but nuanced nose combines nut oil, iodine, flowers, menthol and smoky oak. Fat, sweet and rich; chewy with extract. This has a citrus character and a stronger impression of acidity. Very large-scaled, persistent wine, finishing with an almost tannic impression of structure.
