1996 Chassagne Montrachet Ruchottes

Subtle, highly aromatic nose of citrus oil, white flowers, truffle and mint. Intensely flavored and chewy with extract. The most complete of these '96s to this point in the way it combines flesh and backbone. Very strong, long aftertaste shows some spicy oak and an oily richness. As in most recent vintages, a premier cru to own.
