Note di degustazione
Full yellow. Highly nuanced aromas of honey, stone, minerals, caramel and spices. Drier and less expressive today than the Chevalier-Montrachet; less spherical and silky. Very intense, precise, linear flavors of lemon and dusty stone are perfectly framed by vibrant acids. Finishes with truly palpable minerality. This is Chevalier-Montrachet dirt speaking through chardonnay.

The fresh, mineral-dominated nose of the 2002 Criots-Batard-Montrachet leads to a hugely concentrated, deep, oily-textured personality packed with syrupy stones, spices, pears, sappy minerals, and copious spices. Medium-bodied and powerful, it also reveals an extraordinarily long, flavor-packed finish. Anticipated maturity: 2006-2018. Importers include: Martine’s Wines, Novato, CA; tel.
