Note di degustazione
Good pale color for the vintage. Superripe, complex nose offers apricot, honey, baked bread and spices. Concentrated and thick in the mouth, with a distinctly velvety texture, even in the context of the vintage. A real yellow peach and apricot fruit bomb, with uncanny sweetness. This grand cru site gets a lot of late afternoon sun and is almost always the highest in alcohol of my wines, notes Fontaine.

Good pale color. Slightly reduced yet bracing aromas of lemon, lime, menthol and mint. Then surprisingly sweet in the mouth, with obviously high alcohol (in fact, this is at least 14.5%) and a very ripe suggestion of honeysuckle. Not as pristine as the Caillerets or Romanee but this outsized grand cru has style and sucrosite This site is always protected from the north wind, notes Fontaine, and gets plenty of late-day sun.
