Captivating aromas of peach, flowers, honey and truffle. Big, rich, broad and mouthfilling, with a mineral component giving the wine lift and restraint. Not a weighty style but quite solid in the middle. Perhaps best today on the stony, palate-staining aftertaste. (ST)
Deep aromas of peach, apricot, smoke and butter could use a bit more precision. Fat, leesy and powerful in the mouth, with stone fruit, honey and smoke flavors enlivened by an almost saline minerality. A bit youthfully aggressive, but this builds impressively on the back half.
