Note di degustazione
(this parcel is actually an extension of Le Montrachet, situated next to Demoiselle, just under Chevalier-Montrachet) Deep, minerally nose dominated by wet stone. Dense, sappy and highly concentrated, with sweet but subtle fruit notes and great lift in the mouth. Not a particularly voluminous wine and yet this manages to stain the palate with flavors of peach, flowers, butter and stone. Finishes with superb density, length and finesse. An outstanding 2002. I tasted this wine next to the Chevalier-Montrachet made by Etienne de Montille at the Chateau de Puligny-Montrachet. It shows less sheer fat but more obvious wet stone minerality and class.

Pale yellow color. Pure, exhilarating aromas of candied pineapple, fresh herbs and exotic coconut. Dense and compellingly silky, with a deeply spicy character that seems to come as much from soil as from oak. Conveys wonderful energy and lift. Powerfully minerally finishing flavors build and build, with no loss of delicacy. A great 2002 white Burgundy in the making.
