Note di degustazione
Restrained nose. Great sweetness on the front palate but not much complexity. Weight rather than flavour. Even a bit of heat on the finish. This may evolve into a wine in which everything knits together but at the moment it's a collection of components, I'd wait a while for this. The acidity is notable but so is the alcohol. (JR)

Slightly reduced, reticent nose hints at grapefruit and wet stone; seems a bit less ripe than the Pucelles. Then citric and penetrating in the mouth, with strong, slightly spiky acidity making it hard to taste today. Less full than the Pucelles. This is all corners today and in need of patience. Almost certainly going through an awkward stage.
This is aromatically similar to the Pucelles but with more complexity and distinction, revealing notes of honeysuckle and spiced pear that dissolve into rich and seductive medium full flavors that are generous and possess ample mid-palate fat that is completely buffered by a firm acid spine that keeps the strikingly long finish well-balanced and focused. A beautiful effort.
Scented nose offers grapefruit, pineapple and mint. Intensely flavored and very pure, with the minty component lifting the pineapple and stone flavors. Very bright acids are nicely integrated. This wine finished its malolactic fermentation comparatively late, and today the wine seems less showy than the Pucelles. But finishes bright and very long.
