Very light nose. Sweet start with lots of energy and savour but not integrated. Wait perhaps? It may have drunk well previously but seems in a bit of a sulk at the moment. (JR)

Explosive nose combines tangerine, orange peel, nut oils, grilled almond and a hint of dried fruits. Fat, sweet and full, with an exhilarating sugar/acid balance. Very intensely flavored, generous and long, with sappy citrus flavors leavening the impression of gras and freshening the back end. Boillot says this is "much fresher" than the Referts. Finishes with terrific grapefruity thrust and snap.
The boldly aromatic 2002 Puligny-Montrachet Champs Canet explodes from the glass with yellow plums, candied orange skins, and spices. Light to medium-bodied, gorgeously concentrated, and intense, this exceptional offering has loads of depth, flesh, and an impressively long finish.
