Note di degustazione
(from 38-year-old vines) Deeply pitched aromas of peach, clove, smoke and minerals. Fat, rich, sweet and impressively youthful; a step up in texture, volume and length from the village examples. Boasts lovely minerality for the vintage. Finishes tactile and long. A full and complete premier cru, and much better than it showed from barrel a year ago.

(finished its malo just a month prior to my visit) Fairly pale yellow color. Strong lemony citric character on the nose, along with peach and minerals. Juicy and citric but in an essentially gentle style, with nothing austere about it. Complicating notes of flowers and hazelnut, with a bit of oak showing. Perhaps more complex than the village wine but not deeper. Slightly warm on the back.
