Note di degustazione
Bright transparent crimson. Very light nose. Very pure, sweet fruit on palate entry and then it spreads across the palate in a most beguiling way. It doesn’t really taste as much as 14% alcohol although there’s a little suggestion of it on the end. It’s already lots of fun on the palate but time is presumably needed for it to develop a bouquet. Very fine with quite a bit of body. (JR)

Pretty aromas of plums, raspberries and rose petals introduce d'Angerville's 2023 Volnay Village, a medium-bodied, ample and fleshy wine that's supple, charming and vibrant, concluding with a mineral finish.

The 2023 Volnay Village—which has one of the higher degrees of alcohol (14.5%)—does have a slightly more exotic, luxuriant bouquet compared to the Domaine's other cuvées, with touches of blue fruit and fresh fig. The palate is medium-bodied with brown spices on the entry and slightly dusty tannins, but I seek a little more freshness and Pinoté on the finish. This is more of a short-term Volnay Village.
