Note di degustazione
The 2024 Chablis Village, which includes fruit from Premier Cru La Forest, opens with aromas of Granny Smith apple, lemon oil and white peach. Medium-bodied and incisive, it offers a crisp core of fruit underpinned by mouthwatering acidity, culminating in a long, saline finish. Very Chablisien in character, it bears a certain resemblance to Tribut’s excellent 2017.

A classic Chablis nose of mineral reduction, shellfish and iodine transitions gracefully into delicious, fleshy and vibrant middle weight flavors that conclude in a borderline salty, lingering and lemon finish. This should be accessible young but have no trouble rewarding mid-term keeping.
The 2024 Montmains from Laurent Tribut is the most complete and rounded of the wines in his cellar this vintage. It boasts aromas of ripe apple and pear with an edge of acacia blossoms and spice. The texture is dense and supple, lingering on the palate. It lacks the vibrantly trenchant character of the 2021 from Tribut, instead recalling the richer 2023 vintage. This will drink well on release but should continue to improve for a decade or more.
