2024 Meo-Camuzet Volnay

The maiden 2024 Volnay Village comes from a new acquisition of vineyards, though this year comprises purchased fruit, so technically a négociant that will be Domaine next year, raised in 30% new oak. I warm immediately to the nose with red berries, incense and light iris flower scents. Fine integration of wood. The palate is medium-bodied with smooth tannins, quite fruit-forward and fleshy. This is very harmonious and seductive towards the finish - a promising debut.
