Tasted blind. Deep crimson. This smells ripe! Doing its best to cover up for the lack of ripeness, this has some reasonably soft tannins and not-searing acidity. (JR)

Fresh bright, red currants and spice with a savory touch come through easily on the nose and palate. Medium-bodied, the wine exchanges concentration for drinkability. You can enjoy this today and over the next 12-15 years. The wine is a blend of 60.9% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Merlot, 11.1% Petit Verdot, 12.9% ABV.
This red has a medium-to light-bodied palate with a lovely center of pretty ripe fruit and finely textured tannins that run the length of the wine. Light chocolate and hazelnut on the finish. Drink or hold.
The 2021 Château Latour Pauillac is rock-solid, with a lively, juicy style that still brings a touch of Latour power and density. Cassis, black raspberries, graphite, and floral notes all define the aromatics, and it's balanced, elegant, and delicious. It will drink well for at least 15 years.
