Diam stopper. From a particularly ripe year. Deceptively rich nose and ripe-fruited at first and then taut, tense and much more Puligny-like. Fresh and tight. (JR)

Fresh vibrant lemon and lime colour. There is plenty of energy to the nose, a juicy quality, pear and fresh but ripe apple. Plenty of volume from the start then draws in to a tighter finish. Juicy and agreeable but not quite the precision. Will be ready soon and will keep well also.
The 2019 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Clavoillon has turned out very nicely, mingling aromas of pear and citrus oil with hints of wheat toast, fresh bread and hazelnuts in an inviting bouquet. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and concentrated, with terrific cut and a long, saline finish, it's taut and incisive, showing promise for the cellar.
