1983 Domaine Virgile Pothier-Rieusset Pommard Les Rugiens 1er Cru

Last Tasted 1/92 I can only remember how spectacular this wine was in cask. Because it was so thick, Virgile Pothier's importer persuaded him to filter it. That procedure has stripped this otherwise clean 1983. However, there is little color, and the wine tastes clipped, compact, and eviscerated. This wine, for which I had such high praise initially, has turned out to be one of my most notable losing picks.
