Punteggio 95-98/100 · Allen Meadows, Burghound, Oct 2025

Note: from 4 separate parcels totaling 4.11 ha, 3 of which are all at the top of the slope; from yields of only 3.5 hl/ha in 2024. Here the nose is restrained to the point of being almost mute with its airy and cool array of floral, spice, iodine, ocean breeze and similar oyster shell nuances. There is even better size, weight and richness to the even more evidently concentrated big-bodied flavors that possess a super-sleek and refined mouthfeel before concluding in a youthfully austere and balanced finish that just goes on and on. This is, quite simply, stunningly good.*Burghound Don't Miss!*

4 hl/ha. Fresh pale colour. Didier has managed to deliver a classic Clos quality on the nose, pure white fruit, then more than adequate tension on the palate, just a bit of citrus, racy at the finish, a bit of lemon meringue, long and fulfilling.

The 2024 Chablis Les Clos Grand Cru was reduced to four barrels from 3.5 hectares of vine. It has a fresh, sea spray-scented bouquet that just lacks the amplitude of a really great vintage, though this still has much to offer. The palate is well balanced with a citrus-fresh entry. It's a little linear and chalky in style, with a twist of sour lemon and grapefruit toward the finish. Fine.(NM)
