20% new oak. Fermentation intégrale (in barrel) in 500-litre demi-muids. Tank sample. Mid ruby. Pink flowers, red fruits and torrefaction. Real complexity. Coffee, smoke. It’s all going on here … red fruits on the palate, rounded and sweet. This is very accessible with a juicy, fresh quality to the whole. There is structure, but it is very subtly integrated. (MH)
