The organic Volpaia 2020 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Casanova Il Puro is a fleshed-out and generous Tuscan red with lots of fun cherry and tart berry aromas to lift the bouquet. Like the Coltassala, this wine finishes a bit shorter and thinner despite the more robust fruit produced in a hot vintage such as this. Bottles in this limited 2,000-bottle release are closed with a wax seal and string instead of a traditional capsule.
