The 2017 Chablis Vaillons Cuvée Guy Moreau 1er Cru has a clean, precise nose, classic Chablis style, with fine mineralité and traces of pressed yellow flowers emerging with time. The palate is sapid on the entry, offering fine weight and density, a crisp line of acidity and a lightly spiced, quite persistent finish that lingers in the mouth. A well-crafted Vaillons with aging potential. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting in Savigny-lès-Beaune.

The 2017 Chablis Vaillons Cuvée Guy Moreau 1er Cru is subtle and polished, with lovely textural depth and resonance. Apricot, orange confit, mint and French oak all meld together in a Chablis that deftly balances hints of exotic, tropical character with an attractive sense of understatement. As always, the Guy Moreau is a wine of texture and resonance.
The 2017 Chablis 1er Cru Vaillon Cuvée Guy Moreau is also showing well, offering up aromas of buttery pastry, wheat toast, lemon oil, ripe pears and an exotic top note of flambéed bananas that detracts a little from its bouquet. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, satiny and layered, with more depth and concentration than the domaine's regular Vaillon and a pure, saline finish.
An exotic and expressive nose with mangoes, yellow peaches and nectarines on offer. The palate has a lemon and grapefruit core, very fine minerals and impressive, fleshy drive. Drink or hold.
