Bright, copper-tinged yellow. Sexy, slightly exotic aromas of orange zest, dried apricot, warm grains and marzipan, lifted by a lemony topnote. Rich, silky and utterly seamless, with a sweet marzipan nutty quality to its surprisingly dry yet soft flavors of citrus and yellow stone fruits. Firm but harmonious framing acidity is still quite suave; not hugely expansive on the palate but full of life. Finishes with a slight tannic firmness and terrific length. This fully mature wine is in a sweet spot right now, offering a lovely balance of ripe fruits, toasted bread and balsamic nuances. Really remarkably vibrant for its age. (14.25% alcohol; 5.82 pH)
