A 90/10 blend of Malvasia and Trebbiano, the delicious 1998 Vin San Giusto (500 ml in a clear glass bottle) exhibits the fabulous evolution you should expect of this special category of Italian dessert wine. This is an elegantly aged sweet wine that shows pretty layers of resin, caramel, brown sugar and maple syrup. At the back are fine aromas of balsam herb, resin, cola and dried mint. The wine reveals an elegant oxidative process that has added to its overall intensity and endurance.
