Note di degustazione
The dark ruby-colored 1997 Chambertin Clos de Beze has a nose of immense ripeness and depth. This expansive, broad, powerful wine has exemplary purity and delineation to its mouth-coating candied cherry and cookie dough flavors. Full-bodied and satin-textured, this harmonious, complete wine reveals floral and earth-like tones in its extraordinarily long and supple finish. Projected maturity: 2001-2010+. Bravo! Deep, saturated ruby-red. Less expressive but fine aromas of dark berries, mint and spice; not quite as superripe and spicy as the Bonnes-Mares. Lovely mouthfilling sweetness. Tightly structured and very classy. Gives more of an impression of acidity than the thicker Bonnes-Mares. Finishes with terrific grip and persistence. This and the above were made from grapes with potential alcohol of 13.6%, according to Robert.
