Lemon-oil nose. Quite weighty and I think I prefer the freshness of his St-Aubins! Just a tad stolid. (JR)

The 2013 Puligny-Montrachet les Tremblots has a very austere, slightly flinty bouquet that evokes something Germanic, almost Mosel-like. The palate is taut on the entry with biting citric fruit. This has a lot of energy in the mouth and yet the finish is controlled and focused. No, it does not quite have the length of a top Puligny, and yet it is very well executed.
