The 2018 Puligny-Montrachet Les Perrières 1er Cru feels a bit staid on the nose compared to its peers. Yet, it opens nicely with aeration, with touches of orchard fruit and dewy meadow. The palate is well-defined with crisp acidity, quite dense and concentrated and missing a little mineralité and tension on the finish that has a hint of struck match reduction.
